its not illegal right now to hide cameras in other peoples living spaces, if you own the place? what?
A cursory search on the internet came up with an: "in the US, it depends on the state, provided that you are not recording anyone naked" (so in general no cameras in bedrooms, changing rooms and bathrooms - in other places the legislation is much more obscure, depending on the state).
