Go back to being open source, become a non-profit.
Basically not gonna happen.
The profit motive will just recreate this same scenario no matter what they promise.
Yeah - even if they back pedal (as I still think is likely) it's super clear at this point that reddit is just interested in milking it's users for every cent until they can IPO.
Spez literally just said in the AMA "We’ll continue to be profit-driven until profits arrive."
Which is a complete lie. It's never enough for capitalists, they're never going to stop being profit driven.
"good news, we have made a profit so now we can stop"
