I don’t get it. We’re not going to be able to stop fossil fuel use soon… but why aren’t petro businesses, looking forward to r&d their way forward?

They should want to lead the way so that they can control the future … I don’t get why they are so dumb

The UAE, the hosts of this event, want to make as much money as possible from oil while they can to build a sovereign wealth fund. It's also why they're not happy with potentially more competition
