My kid's touch-lamp is out of reach, but they like to turn this on in the night if they wake up.
I had a brilliant plan. Ordered zigbee button and smart switch. It's out of range so also got a new coordinator with an antenna.
I set up button and switch, connect them so the button toggles the switch, and it's all working great. I go to the kid's room, plug the lamp into the smart switch, and turn it on. Press button, lamp turns off, great!
I press the button again. I hear a click to indicate smart switch is on, but lamp doesn't turn on.
Apparently the lamp switches to an off state if it loses power. My plan is foiled.
