it's very much borrowed from one of the reddit subs i frequent(ed) often, but the idea is to share what we're playing weekly and hopefully create discussions around those games (or simply have a sort of "check-in").

Doom 2016 on the steam deck. Trying to learn how to aim with the trackpad and gyro after years of kb+m. Seems to be going okay so far.

Yeah, I sadly had to turn down the difficulty to get accustomed to the trackpad. I was getting killed all the time without it, hopefully things get better!

The gyro can be a little difficult to get used to at first. In my opinion it is best used for fine adjustments. So you'd use the trackpad or joystick for the big adjustments, then fine tune with the gyro.

This is what I've read in most places, I find using the gyro a little harder than getting used to the trackpad (the fine adjustment with gyro takes a while for me and is a little awkward while the big trackpad movements are fine) but hopefully it is just a matter of practice.
