Do we have any news on if any of the popular 3rd Party developers are planning to make Lemmy apps? How interchangeable is the code? Will it be a case of starting from absolute scratch?
I'm using Jerboa and it's different but in a good way.
I'm using Jerboa and it's fine but I'm missing a few features from Sync and frankly I don't like change π
We're on the same boat lol

It's quite like Boost For Reddit which I like it.
It's also totally in the alpha stage, too. I would hope that with the influx of new users, the pace of development will pick up as well.
I heard the Reddit is Fun dev is planning on either joining a project or doing a new one for Lemmy. I heard it here somewhere so I donβt know much other than that
I'm on Jerboa right now and not unhappy with it, but if the rif developer gets involved in something else I'd definitely check it out. I used rif for many years.
Jerboa is nice, but clearly a work in progress. RiF has been matured for years now.
I thought he was making one for Tildes?
What's Tildes?
https://tildes.net/
A forum like reddit but needs invite to register, I think it already exist since past few years
Looks like he's building an app for tildes - https://tildes.net/
Looks like another Reddit alternative... Not sure if it's federated though.
It's not. It's more reddit adjacent than replacement. Lemmy seems closer to a replacement. I'm using both now.
If there was Apollo for Lemmy I would be a fulfilled human being
