I know it's a meme but introversion != crippling shyness/social awkwardness, it just means that you "gain energy" when you're alone whereas extroverts "gain energy" from being with other people.
I don't know where on that spectrum I'm flying, but I've been adopted by an extrovert and then introduced to her friends. That meant a lot for me and I'm incredibly thankful.
I’m thinking about sending this to the extrovert that adopted me in college.

Thank you. I don’t have problems making friends. But I get so terribly drained around large groups.
It doesn't even need to be alone to gain energy and still works fine with just one or two people who you're close to.
It's the "lot's of people" and the "people I barelly know" that are exhausting.
