It is pretty good I use it on many machines. You install it on your machine with a reverse proxy, it then analyses the traffic logs for malicious activity or for known bad IPs and then creates iptable block rules. The web interface is the cloud interface that it connects to, because as the name implies, it works by using log data from all members to block bad actors efficiently

Google shows how to fuckup their user base. Apple got a better example for that with iOS 16 feature „Automatic Verification“ for CAPTCHAs. It’s not forced, you can deactivate it. And if you don’t have it, you get a normal standard capture like everyone else. Why not that Google, just copy that feature and no one would be pissed of by your „let’s be evil“ marketing.

You can hate AI , LLMs etc. But this is interesting and funny. They are transparent about the usage of AI, which is already better than some AAA game company who tries to hide it. Obviously this is just a proof of concept and they probably learned something about OS design

This was the only reason I liked Android over iOS: the CFW community. I’ve been running some sort of CFW since Android 4.0. Now, the charm has gone. GrapheneOS, SailfishOS, e/OS, LineageOS, iode OS, and even CyanogenMod – I’ve used them all. Each one has its own target group and use case. I hope it turns into the better one again. It’s like forcing a PC to only run the OS it’s delivered with.
