I just heard Landers talk about it when he was released from an IDF facility in the West Bank. He called Ryan Grim on breaking points and they had him talk about what happened.

He said about 60 people were part of the group. The group, Protect the Harvest, has nearly 30 American members, with many of the members being American Rabbis part of a group called Rabbis for Peace. They are all still detained, or were as of his call, including the other international volunteers and the Palestinians whose olive farm they were helping to harvest. The Palestinians were split up from the group and brought somewhere else, including the owner of the farm.

The farm was right next to a modern settlement, he said it only took about an hour of harvesting before a security truck from the settlement spotted them and the IDF picked them up next.

This was the second harvest they had been engaged in either that day or this week.

Here's a link to the call, it starts at around 12:16.

Why not just lift the blockade?

You think she cares, she strikes me as the type of person would strangle 100 brown babies with her own hands if it meant her child could get a slight advantage.

Think of if Iran had done this, or Russia, what would the news look like, or say. Or think of the sheer number of families and lives that were affected by that truly horrific act (or the sports facility that got hit by the new tungsten cluster munitions we were testing on kids). The anger that was created, the animosity that is the only thing some people have left. This isn't a thing that happened and just goes away. This was an underwater avalanche that has sent a tsunami. The damage will be impossible to avoid.

You can tell this one really hurts us (us being Americans, not you and me) because of the reactions. You have someone on this thread threatening Greenland with CIA drugs.

Like we look bad enough without this shitass reaction people are having in these threads.

This take isn't even controversial, it's just true. Same with the privileges temporarily given by the supreme court, same when they called people "essential workers" when they meant "expendable human capital".

I don't usually do this, but this is too funny not to call it out.

Trucking is so funny. There is an adversarial relationship between the drivers and the office, which you can see in this comment.

The industry is trying to solve safety issues caused by the nature of long haul driving and maintenance of profit in logistics by companies that use their services.

Trucking used to be a way a person could provide for their family, remain independent, and feel in control. Now, trucking is an industry where you are trapped in a moving computer designed primarily to reduce the insurance rates of the company that employs them, because their business practices and demands were so dangerous, individuals truckers had to drive more hours, get paid less for those hours, and literally drive themselves, and other motorists around them when they crashed, to death.

Then they blame the truckers as they race to bottom in hiring. Don't even get me started on nafta. Your industry sucks for the employees who are necessary to keep the economy moving.

Both professor x and his sister had their powers in utero. Nightcrawler famously developed his powers pre-puberty, he was zipping around both physically mutated (from birth) and his teleportation as a young child. Generally mutants develop powers at puberty, but that's just a rule of thumb.

All she has to do is tell me she's not going to fuck over consumers with regards to solar to protect regionally monopolistic power conglomerates who are literally killing people due to old equipment in wild fire corridors. Fuck Gavin Newsome.
