I know him as Long John Silver in Muppet Treasure Island... What age does that make me?

Made the King Arthur "Big and Bubbly Focaccia" recipe - new favorite way to make focaccia! It develops a fantastic crust while remaining springy and moist inside. Topped with rosemary and confit garlic, forgot to take a pic before we started digging in ๐Ÿ˜…

Just finished the Food Lab by J. Kenji Lopez-Alt, and I really loved it! There are plenty of recipes in it, but it is more focused on techniques and the "why" behind a lot of things. I'd also recommend his YouTube channel super heavily.

~4 hours iirc? Made these a couple months ago so I do not remember exactly. The test I like to use is pick them up on one end with my tongs and "bounce" them - if they split a little along the skin then they're ready.

St. Louis cut ribs done in the pellet smoker - 250 F until they get nice and tender and then paint with sauce and grill marks at high heat. Could have let the sauce char more but we were hungry lol.

Made this as a celebratory dinner one night for my wife. The ricotta gnocchi comes together so quickly but feels so impressive, and any time I include a ribeye she's happy haha.

Not a recent bake, but I'm quite proud of this loaf! Challah is one of the most fun breads to make imo, I love the shaping process and the results when I have French toast for breakfast ๐Ÿ˜‹

I have not read Krogers security and privacy policy, but if Kroger was recording me without my consent and providing that to advertisers I would like to know. So I appreciate the initial commenter bringing this to our attention. Also even if this behavior is prevalent, I don't think it should be dismissed.

I find it an extremely response without ensuring what you say is correct. Context matters.

If you scroll down on the privacy and security policy, there is a section that says they record you with audio and video while you are in their stores and parking lots and provide that to advertisers, partners, subsidiaries, and law enforcement. Your reaction to the original commenter feels a little extreme.

Valid! We also should not have let the tomatoes get so leggy, but we're doing what we can with what we got :)

[-] DLS@lemmy.world 3 points 5 months ago

In the pic we've got 2 types of indeterminate tomatoes, eggplant, and a couple flowers. The tomatoes and eggplant will go in a raised bed along with some transplants, and I'm thinking I'll try the florida weave to trellis the tomatoes. But we're just so happy to have anything germinate that I'd already consider this a smashing success lol.

My wife and I are starting a garden for the first time this year. We originally were just planning to do transplants for everything, but a family member gifted us some of her favorite seeds and we've had some luck germinating them! Work is busy so we are not babysitting them as much as we should, but excited to see what makes it.
