Newer IPS screens actually managed to close the gap almost entirely, to the point where I personally prefer them over most OLED screens. And I used to be a huge OLED fan.

You'll probably never get pure blacks on a non-OLED display, but good LCDs nowadays are so close you'll only notice the difference in a completely dark room. Which I think is more than good enough, considering potential OLED issues that never happen on LCDs.

Let's be clear here. If politicians aren't competent enough to make burgers or serve orders, they're not competent enough to run countries.

If the jobs require mental health screenings, and trans people are supposedly mentally ill... surely they'll just fail, and there's no need for an additional ban. Surely, right?

Even IDF internallly recognizes that 80% of terror attacks in the West Bank are perpetrated by Israeli 'settlers'.

So publicly condemning illegal Israeli settlements isn't necessarily anti-Israel anymore. It's still the extremely obvious right stance, but one that should have been taken 10 years ago, and not today, when the Israeli government itself is turning against the so-called settlers.

The cheapest EV where I live costs about 30x more than the cheapest ICE car, and about 5x more than the average ICE car.

At the same time, it has half (or not even that) the range and most of the controls inside the touchscreen.

Almost everybody lives in apartments. No chargers in the underground garages or near outside parking spaces. I only know of 4 EV chargers in a radius of 2km around my home, and I live in my country's capital.

I think I'll stick to public transport and cycling. EVs are not the answer to any problem. All that work just to have marginally less ecologically destructive vehicles.

To me it just looks like smoking vs vaping. Improvement? I guess. Worth investing insane amounts of resources into? Yeah, probably not.
