It’s great… if you love Office 2007. But it has too many weird quirks and refuses to make any interesting changes to move forward past that.
I meant more for the layman who is more comfortable with a wysiwyg system. For me it is great, and I think LyX’s “WYSIWYM” concept is wonderful. But I’d never ask a non-IT co worker to consider those.
I adore latex but the barrier to entry is a little too high. LyX is kinda-sorta there but not really.
