politico.eu is from springer which is our fox news.

a small group in the conservative party is talking about normalizing the far-right. but the media and the public are calling them out on it. even from within their party.

last time cdu tried to "work together" with afd, there were millions on the streets within a few days.

edit: over 75% voted against a fashist party with a voter turnout of 83%

"Sooner or later, we will sit at the negotiation table with the U.S. and find a mutually acceptable compromise," EU Trade Commissioner Maros Sefcovic told a news conference.

He also said the EU would start would start collecting a first tranche of targeted retaliatory duties on U.S. imports from April 15 and a second wave from May 15, in reaction to the U.S. tariffs on European steel and aluminium.

He also made clear that while preferring to negotiate the removal of the tariffs with the U.S., the EU was ready to step up its response. This could include the EU's Anti-Coercion Instrument (ACI), which would allow it to target U.S. services or to limit U.S. companies' access to public procurement tenders in the EU.

are there plans to make loops.video posts play in the integrated player?

big part of my reddit experience were the short videos. we have come a long way, since i joined lemmy. and now with pixelfed and loops i feel like we are close to become full circle.

i'm pretty sure there are a lot of possibilities. when it come to propper integration.

but for now, i'd be pretty happy, if the posts containing a video from loops.video to play in the integrated player.
is this already planed?

i think yesterday i saw comments on some cbs youtube videos, that catched my eyes, for the first time. i mean, they are obviously fake. today again, on different videos, but always the same sentiment: "great post! keep going! emoji, emoji"

but why? i'd understand hate comments, but that?

am i going nuts?

might be a stupid question and bad timing, but tend to watch the replays during the week, because i'm not from the us and i like to see not all but most of them.

i had some subs added to my reddit, but while scrolling i spoiled some matches and got upset, so i unfollowed the subs again.

so before i follow this community, i just would like to know, if i might reget it later on.

must watch events (programming.dev)

hey guys.

didn't watch wrestling for quite some time. last time i was kinda invested was when we had smack down for playstation 1, something like 25 years ago.

rewatched the legendary hell in a cell match from mankind and undertaker last week. since then i watched this years royal rumble and a few more events and was hooked again.

so what are the events, you think, i should watch to catch up?

Meta's Llama models also impose licensing restrictions on its users. For example, if you have an extremely successful AI program that uses Llama code, you'll have to pay Meta to use it. That's not open source. Period.

open source != no license restrictions

According to Meta, "Existing open source definitions for software do not encompass the complexities of today's rapidly advancing AI models. We are committed to keep working with the industry on new definitions to serve everyone safely and responsibly within the AI community."

i think, he's got a point, tho

is ai open source, when the trainig data isn't?
as i understand, right now: yes, it's enough, that the code is open source. and i think that's a big problem

i'm not deep into ai, so correct me if i'm wrong.

there's nothing elon about this train, just that it's driving to his factory.

they are great for short distances that are difficult to electrify.
