For me season 1 was not awful. It was not good, but it was not awful. Now season 2... was absolutely terrible, the worse we have seen in all the Star Trek universe. Season 3 was better than 2, but it was still not good.

I'd say avoid this show!

I see Star Trek Lower Decks has been mentioned. That is truly a great show!

My personal experience writing a multi-platform desktop app (macOS, Windows, Linux) was rather painful. Tkinter was my first try, but deployment on macOS was a nightmare. I ended using PySide, which ticked all the boxes, but my biggest gripe is that you end with a lot of code that is not very "pythonic". Flet looks like a nice alternative.

I own two Raspberries 1, a Raspberry 4 8GB and a Raspberry 5 8GB. I wouldn't recommend the 4 as a full-fledged desktop replacement, but the 5 has been very smooth so far.

I'm currently using the latest Raspberry Pi OS Lite and installed KDE on top.

I've used Linux since the mid 90s, but I switched to Linux as my desktop daily driver just 2 years ago and I went with Manjaro. I was prepared to switch to a pure Arch setup, but I'm still vary happy with Manjaro. I use AUR, but only very few packages.

Seeing how good Lemmy is makes me frustrated with Mastodon by norambna in c/fediverse@lemmy.world

I'm having a similar experience. Almost all developers (mostly Python/Django) I was following on Twitter are on Mastodon and being able to follow hashtags is great. The servers are stable and I kept the very first android client I tried (Tusky).
