Valve isn’t big at all. It’s less than 300 employees… it’s like the definition of small to medium sized company.

Making things fun/funny for kids is part of getting them past certain stages of life. This isn’t infantilizing, they’re 7 years old.

Just like you don’t get to arbitrarily go to the bathroom while you’re in court, you don’t get to arbitrarily go to the bathroom in school.

This teacher found a solution that works for the kids at the stage of life they are in while they’re still trying to figure out their bodies and for her as a teacher to actually be able to teach them effectively.

You are looking for reasons to be mad.

It’s a gas station. For passing gas.

If you’re getting pulpy apple juice then yes, you are not in my country. I’m in the U.S. I’ve never even heard of pulpy apple juice.

At my grocery store it’s $.08/oz for Coke and .04/oz for orange juice.

Ask yourself: if you added the same nutrients that are in juice to coca cola, would coca cola now be "healthy"?

The amount of free sugars is what makes soda so bad. So if you switched the types of sugars in soda, then yes, it literally would be better for you than it currently is. Coke has food dyes in it that make your comparison not equal.

I didn’t say juice was “healthy”.

Phone: 169 in Safari, inf in Firefox

Computers: uhhhhhhh probably several thousand? It would take quite a while to get a number.

The “high” means greater than 55% fructose. HFCS has to be at minimum HFCS-55 according to the FDA. Many sodas mix HFCS-55 with HFCS-90 to increase the concentration. And I never said that soda doesn’t have fructose? Don’t know where you got that.

Noob. Notepad++

Huh? Those natural juices are glucose. They have some fructose still, but it’s nothing like sweetened drinks.

[-] tyler@programming.dev 10 points 20 hours ago

They’re not the same types of sugar. Your body uses glucose differently than fructose.
