Software produced by agentic workflows almost inevitably reproduces copyrighted works for common functions like database access without the person using the LLM knowing. This makes the software produced as such non-FOSS and a ticking time bomb due to someone using code scanning tools for malicious litigation purposes similar to how patent trolls operate.

For an explosion you need a well mixed oxygen + hydrogen atmosphere, which is nearly impossible to create in a blimp. Even the old Hindenburg did not explode, but rather its highly flammable nitro-cellulose skin burned and most of the Hydrogen likely escaped without ever catching fire.

I think the latest theory is that is was a landslide that caused a partial glacier collapse, and the force of that registered as an earthquake on instruments.

They don't deny it? It is to prevent drone attacks on the oil infrastructure in Kaliningrad. It isn't really possible to limit GPS jamming to such a small enclave, and the Russians probably care little about the externalities this causes.

Hot air doesn't have very good lift. Better would be to produce hydrogen via electrolysis.

I honestly don't get why they don't just use hydrogen for unmanned blimps like that; better lift and can be produced relatively cheaply on site via electrolysis. And with modern membrane materials the fire risk is minimal.

Probably a regulation issue only 🤦

I think the main advantage is that at a certain hight you always have some wind, so this is rather complementary to other forms of energy generation.

A mobile version like shown a few months ago could also be useful during emergencies and to help restarting and stabilizing the grid after large scale blackouts.

At 9,000 metres, they said, the systems could operate for more than 8,000 hours a year, generating power at 0.03 yuan – less than half a US cent – per kilowatt-hour.
