This year I got hold on some apples so I will make 30l of clear cider and 20l for some "experiment". I already tried oak chips (simulates aging in wood barrel), hops and some spices. This year I was thinking about some herbs. The use is basically as dry hopping in beer.

Is there something I should consider, something you tried and turned out well or was undrinkable?

For few years now I am going sometimes to cinema that is part of the Europa Cinemas network.

It is partly run by my city and one of the university. It is quite cool to be able to watch some art films from around the world, documentaries but they are still showing the big American blockbusters.

They don't sell popcorn or cola but they have craft beers on tap that you can take with you to the screening room - my French friend really like that part of the experience ;-)

The tickets are really affordable ~6-10€ but I usually spend bit more on the beer.

Bit of conversational question. I have 2 plans and still don't know which one I will choose, maybe you will help me decide.

One is to ride to Spain for solar eclipse, that is 12.7. and ride home. So probably through Austria, northern Italy, France and along Mediterranean coast to Spain.

Other is through Poland, Baltic's towards Finland. I still don't know what next if it would be possible to go to Sweden and Norway and then cross to Denmark...

I will have about 2 months for that so I will probably use some trains and stuff to shortcut it here and there.

So what are your plans, where would you want to go this year?

I already don't know what's in it, few varieties of currants, apricots, now I added red and white grapes and some other things added during last two months I don't remember.

It got this overpowering red colour (probably from the currants) that stains everything so that's the colour it will have at the end, the smell is mostly fruity, little bit too much of a mix of everything.

So half of the jar is done another half is waiting for the fall season fruits.

So I managed to find 80% food grade alcohol (it was harder than you might thought) and started the all season maceration.

Basically every fruit that I will get or pick I just put few pieces there and let it sit, the tasting will be at Christmas or sometime in December. First layer is red currant, I already used it for some maceration so I know it starts good.

In France I met El and she showed me a bit around the coast, we were riding together for a week there. Each of us wanted to see something bit different so we split in Nantes and I promised that I will join her in CZ to show her around. So that's what's happening now I am in train riding through Germany (not yet) and have spare time pretty much all night (I don't expect that I will get much sleep).
