If anyone cares to inform me:

Is there anything in the works to group subscribed communities so that a user can select the group to view only the communities in it on the feed?

With the way federation works there are so many repeat communities across instances and it will stay this way for awhile I imagine until one community gains majority popularity. But til that day it would be nice to gather those communities into groupings (for example gaming; I’m subscribed to at least 5 of them named gaming) so that I can look at all of the posts without having to click a bunch of links.

This is being discussed on Lemmy's issue tracker: https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues/3071

So far the main developers haven't joined the discussion.

It's not something that an individual instance (like Beehaw) can tackle alone.
