Here is my list, compiled largely from theories I've read here. Starting with the most digestible, and working backwards...

1. Aliens exist, and the government has known it for a long time

This one is a given at this point, at least to those who frequent this sub.

2. We have no idea what the aliens want or what their intensions are.

Also likely true, though we cannot know for certain unless we had true disclosure.

3. The government has killed people to keep the existence of aliens a secret

Pretty likely, given the government was no stranger to doing stuff like this during the cold war. Not just about aliens, but all kinds of stuff.

4. Aliens are abducting and experimenting on humans

Not entirely unlikely, but getting harder to digest, because it's a scary thought to get snatched up like that.

5. The government has, at some point, given explicit approval to the aliens to abduct and experiment on humans

Now we're getting into some extra-hard-to-handle territory, in my view. Bad enough folks might be getting picked up, even worse if the people in charge of things gave the ayyys the okay to do so.

6. Humanity is nothing more than a genetic experiment by the aliens

Personally this wouldn't bother me, but I was not raised in a monotheistic fundamentalist household. But at this stage, we might start to see some really extreme behavior from society at large if this came out.

7. Aliens created (or had a hand in creating) some of the world's biggest religions

Hoo boy. Them's fightin' words. Even if this came out, huge swaths of humanity would not believe it, and many would certainly resort to violence for having been told. No one wants to think their lord and savior of choice wore a silver jumpsuit.

8. There have been multiple prehistoric human (or human-like) civilizations that the aliens have wiped out

This just makes things scary. Everything up until now has been a threat to our understanding of ourselves and where we come from - but here is the first hint of an existential threat. "We've done it before, and we can do it again!" I'd love to think this would put humanity on its best behavior but we all know better.

9. Aliens are definitely planning a hostile invasion at some point

I would say this is less digestible in the sense that we know for a fact we're under threat - but honestly, of all the hard possible truths listed so far, this is probably the first one that might actually IMPROVE human behavior, on the condition it got the world powers to hold off on WW3 until we dealt with our common enemy.

10. Aliens are definitely going to try and destroy humanity in the near future

Much like the previous point except much more immediate and scary. Personally I think if they wanted to wipe out humanity they wouldn't invade, which would take a lot of fucking work. I think they would just redirect a giant fucking asteroid. Oh hey - maybe that's what they did for the dinosaurs? CTRL-A, DLT.

11. Aliens are literally harvesting our souls

Now we're getting into some truly fucked up territory. Whether you're religious or secular, imagine learning for a fact that A) we have souls, and B) doesn't matter though, because aliens are farming them for... SOMETHING. Probably something not nice or natural. And there's nothing we can do about it. I literally don't know how people would react to that. I think that is where it gets to a point where it's so incomprehensibly scary we would collectively pretend we didn't just learn that and go on with our lives.

12. Earth is a prison planet for harvesting souls

This sort of combines the scary part possibility of ayys harvesting souls with the scary possibility of them creating us for some unknown purpose. Imagine learning that earth itself is one big factory farm, and we are the free-range cattle, and death is no escape. Again, I kind of feel like we've gone so far in shock value at this point society would collectively pretend its not true no matter the evidence. A few people actually responding to it rationally would be treated like their mentally ill.

But all of that pales in comparison to the final, least digestible, and most horrific possibility...

13. Aliens are fuckin our Grandmas

GRANDMA, NO
