Tbh, that seems more of a player issue rather then a systems issue.

This is just a re-release of v2016. All the same bugs, but the shitty port makes things crash more.
I'd like to see someone finally fix the 'capitalism' race condition.
Capitalism is more like a program causing resource exhaustion.
Typically new hardware is released at regular intervals so the poorly coded software can continue to function without bringing down the system, rather than addressing the root problem of always trying to grow the software.
The things is with the earth we don’t ever get any new hardware.
I don't think it should be removed completely, but rather heavily debuffed.
It was a terrible addition that has added no benefit we couldn’t have derived without it.
Maybe we can focus on fixing the 'human' race condition, too?
At this point, just turn it off and back on again.
The reboot time is a bitch, and the hardware may not power back up correctly. The firmware is unstable, and you might just brick the whole thing. Might just end up with a pretty paperweight.
Might be better than what we have now, no? At least a paperweight has a function.
Dispensing with the metaphor… a failed reboot either means no humans, which some might argue is just fine; or a situation where we wind up back in the stone age because if everything really collapses then all surface minerals are tapped out and we can’t build machines to reach the deep minerals because we don’t have the minerals to build the machines.
Either option would be good for earth, as a whole, but bad to really for humanity.

I hear there's a big "thoughts and prayers" update coming up soon that's supposed to improve EVERYTHING, but I still can't tell exactly how it's meant to accomplish that

It's surely more like v302024, our species is 300,000 years old. Nothing began 2024 years ago other than the currently most used Gregorian calendar. But there are several other calendars used even now.
Not even the calendar. It was invented in 1582 by the pope and just kept the same BC/AD structure the Julian calendar used. Which was also something created around year 500.
They have to fix the metagame around the Patriarchy skill tree.
It was an interesting idea to have a build centered around mild debuffs to yourself and worse debuffs to those around you, but at this point it’s just a race to the bottom and it’s ruined the balance of everything else as a result.
Does this version include the Anthropocene Extinction pack? If not, I'll continue hoping it gets canceled.
Kinda hoping for the re-releaae of the v1793 French Revolution. The cash in our current version has gotten so big everything is bugging out.
