I have high hopes for it but it's only just come out so could be rough around the edges.

Seems to run for some. Here is a Steam Community for Assetto Corsa EVO search term "Linux": https://steamcommunity.com/app/3058630/discussions/search/?q=linux And for future reference I link to ProtonDB too, but right now there is no report there: https://www.protondb.com/app/3058630

It's rough on windows too fwiw

yeah I've seen mixed responses regarding performance but sometimes proton even helps with that; Elden Ring ran way nicer on Linux for the first few weeks of its release

A bit off topic, but is anyone running a Simagic wheel for racing on Linux? I’ve kept a large windows drive solely for my sim racing racing but looking through proton it appears that most of the games are compatible. Only concern now would be whether my hardware is supported.

According to this 2 years old project, Simagic's force feedback isn't supported in mainline kernels, requiring installation of a kernel module. It's unclear if support has been mainlined since then.

Edit: And the project mentioned above only work up to a certain firmware in which Simagic implemented their own proprietary protocol https://github.com/JacKeTUs/linux-steering-wheels/issues/3

Damn. Ah well thanks for tracking that down. I think I found the git project page earlier but didn’t look through the issues log.

Looks like it has terrible performance issues on windows currently. I would keep an eye on Proton DB, but it might be a while till someone posts on there though
