No, I blame the man himself for becoming so overtly toxic that lots of customers are basically blacklisting Tesla as a brand due to his tight association with it.

Big agree. We'd definitely be getting a Model Y if it wasn't for the dogshit leadership. Instead, we are waiting for the Rivian R2 to actually come out.

Or it could be total mismanagement by a NAZI piece of shit Elon Musk.

[–] metaStatic@kbin.earth 7 points 2 weeks ago

Don't they have an entire department dedicated to managing Musk, or is that only Space X?

Blame BYD? For what? For making a superior product so superior that the US tariffs it 100% to protect domestic shitbox manufacturers from competition because they can't compete?

[–] Telorand@reddthat.com 14 points 2 weeks ago

Yes, that. Those monsters.

How could they not think of the other companies' poor shareholders?

[–] BombOmOm@lemmy.world 11 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

BYD is heavily subsidized by China. Tariffs to offset the Chinese subsidies are reasonable.

Stop making sense in my circle jerk

Tesla is not subsidized in US🤡

So what you're telling me is communism builds better cars too. Not only does it do everything better, but also cars.

Common CPC W.

My dude one thing communism clearly does worse is foster reading comprehension.

China may make a good car, but they’re not actually socialist or truly communist anymore, and further the primary issue that is being discussed is subsidizing something for market saturation, a decidedly capitalist move on Chinas part.

You gotta be a little less on the nose.

Tesla stock is tumbling. Don’t blame BYD, blame Elon.

Elon has been running Tesla in easy mode where there’s basically no competition. Now that there’s a bunch of other electric car makers on the market he doesn’t know how to deal with that. BYD included, but they’re not the only one with valid competition.

Also, he’s a terrible person to have as your figurehead.
