Assuming your really hungry, and you have a bunch of hard boiled eggs available.. how many can you eat until you are totally full?

When I was a lad I ate four dozen eggs
Every morning to help me get large
And now that I'm grown I eat five dozen eggs
So I'm roughly the size of a barge

”And no one can impulse buy EGGS like Gaston!”

Yes, but there is no way I will even try to eat 50 eggs.

So I will distract you all with a musical number

I love this movie so much. First watched it as kid it made a deep impression on me. Still does, some 50 years after I first watched it.

I have grown to understand more and more as life goes on why a man would set himself to the task of cutting the heads off all the parking meters.

Taking out a loan here, boss!

Yeah, but you’re roughly the size of a barge.

I would love to see a video of you eating 50 eggs

Matt stonie ate 120 in 8 minutes... But i suspect he was full far before that https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vCncM1sJxtI

Depends. If they are deviled/stuffed eggs I can eat at least a dozen at a party without even realizing.

[-] Cephalotrocity@biglemmowski.win 8 points 2 years ago

Minus the few that others manage to get to before I do.

[-] bradorsomething@ttrpg.network 8 points 2 years ago

If they’re deviled eggs, I try to stop before $20, so probably 4 dozen under Biden, and maybe 5-6 eggs (if I can find them) under Trump.

[-] pastermil@sh.itjust.works 8 points 2 years ago

Depends on how it's cooked, I guess.

[-] Hossenfeffer@feddit.uk 3 points 2 years ago

Definitely. I’ve done a full English breakfast challenge once that had six fried eggs and that was no bother. Hard-boiled, I doubt I could do more than three and I’d be struggling on the third.

[-] Kolanaki@pawb.social 6 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

Probably a whole dozen. But I wouldn't want to be in a room with me after. It's gonna stink.

I can get about 3 down before I tap out. More if they have sauces

[-] Gradually_Adjusting@lemmy.world 6 points 2 years ago

In a frittata, I can probably go six ish at a guess. Just fried on toast, assuming they're the big ones I'm just having two.

[-] Twinklebreeze@lemmy.world 6 points 2 years ago

We talking scrambled, or shell on whole eggs? Scrambled probably 4+. Eggs never seem to fill me up like they should. Whole eggs maybe 1. Less than 1 even. I don't think I can swallow a whole egg.

[-] jet@hackertalks.com 10 points 2 years ago

I don't think I've even seen anyone eat a shell on egg before

[-] Toes@ani.social 6 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

So many moons ago in a far off galaxy.

My roommate and I explored this very question.

3 and a slice of toast was the sensible outcome.

But I was foolish and what started this was suggesting I could eat a whole carton. Spoiler I could not. 🤮🐣 (And neither could they)

[-] moxlas@discuss.online 5 points 2 years ago

5-6 depending on the size with 3-4 slices of bread. If it was just egg, 7+

[-] Dark_Arc@social.packetloss.gg 5 points 2 years ago

I think around 4 will do it. They say your stomach is what, two fists or so large? That seems about right

[-] BestBouclettes@jlai.lu 4 points 2 years ago

2 to 4 depending on what I eat it with

[-] flamingo_pinyata@sopuli.xyz 4 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

4 is my standard portion, I usually buy medium sized eggs. If I was pressed I could probably eat 6.

[-] Corno@lemm.ee 4 points 2 years ago

Alright, this is a question for me! 😊

I can eat 6 boiled XL eggs at once and do so on a regular basis.

[-] TheRedSpade@lemmy.world 5 points 2 years ago

By "at once" I hope you mean "in one sitting", otherwise you're surely risking some sort of jaw injury.

[-] Corno@lemm.ee 5 points 2 years ago

Haha I do mean in one sitting! But now I have the image of me opening my mouth wide like Kirby trying to eat 6 XL eggs at once! 😂

[-] Num10ck@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago

my personal record is 8 hard boiled eggs. my stomach really hurt and my farts were ridiculous.

[-] SendMePhotos@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago
[-] RBWells@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago

Deviled eggs? Probably 4 (8 halves)if it was all I'm eating. They are just so delicious.

Straight hard boiled eggs? If I have more than 3 I'm making egg salad so I don't know. But would consider 2 of them a main dish, plenty enough if I have a salad or something to go with them. And 2 is all I'd want at one time.

[-] magpie@mander.xyz 3 points 2 years ago

I can have 3 eggs and then its not so much that I full as it is I am violently ill. Egg intolerance? idk

[-] jet@hackertalks.com 4 points 2 years ago

yeah, it sounds like it! you shouldn't eat eggs!
