It is bad all around, because the uncertainty freezes everything, even the goal trump claims that he is trying to accomplish, which is bringing factories to America[1]. Who sane would be start building a factory when a policy could change even the same day.

[1] side note: Majority of Americans say we should bring manufacturing to America, but when asked if they would want to work in a factory almost no one wants to.

It's almost as if destroying the US economy is the point. I'm not saying Trump is working for Putin, but if he did his actions would be almost indistinguishable.
