Lock the door and set up a perimeter first so the cockroaches don't get out.

you guys can do it yourselves this time, though. had enough practice on Jan 6th, right?

[-] Weslee@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

The ones that practised on jun 6th aren't going to be doing it again while trump is in office

That was the "OLD" Supreme Court. The "NEW" Supreme Court disagrees.

I wonder if those who fondle the flag should be prosecuted for gross indecency towards national symbols...

Trump humping the flag

It’s awesome how our liberties are being trampled. I’ve never been more proud to live in this shithole country.

I guess it's time to bring back flag burning.

What better way to demonstrate that America is "the land of the free"?

What better way to demonstrate that it's not the land of the free, by prosecuting such a trivial thing.

This damage will never be undone

This doesn’t change the law. Go burn flags. Just don’t commit any crimes while doing it and you should be good.

If you own the flag and burn it on your property I’m not sure what they could do to you.

I am not a lawyer so probably best not to take an internet strangers legal advice

What is global news?

Something that happened or was uncovered recently anywhere in the world. It doesn't have to have global implications. Just has to be informative in some way.

Post guidelines

Title formatPost title should mirror the news source title. If you don't like the title of article, look for an alternative source instead of editorializing it.
URL formatPost URL should be the original link to the article (even if paywalled) and archived copies left in the body. It allows avoiding duplicate posts when cross-posting.
[Opinion] prefixOpinion (op-ed) articles must use [Opinion] prefix before the title. Opinion articles refer to articles that their publisher doesn't explictly endorse.
Country prefixCountry prefix can be added to the title with a separator (|, :, etc.) if the news is from a local publisher who doesn't clearly mention the country.
