I got banned from there because I commented on a thread asking about Cuba. I’ve actually been there in 2019 and in 2023 and my firsthand account (as well as a story a local told me) received heavy criticism and it was removed by the moderators. I didn’t even say anything controversial, just that the food options were limited, there was not a lot of protein, and some first hand accounts from my bus driver of the 2021 riots and protests.
This was enough to be removed and banned. I got called a fascist :)
Ah. This makes me feel very validated after observing some really questionable takes and obvious mod bias on their Ask Lemmy.
I've managed it on a few different accounts now.
Seeing so many people talk about being banned on .ml and dbzer0, I figured I’d check on my status.
Banned from three dbzer0 comms because “Anti AI troll”.
It ain’t much, but it’s honest work.
The llmbros are genuinely a cult. Least fav thing about this instance.
How do you figure out where you're banned?
Never mind, I went to my instance website and looked at the modlog. Searched for my username. And I've not been banned yet from .ml, probably because I blocked the entire instance.
I should probably make some effort in getting banned from that AI instance. How hard can that be? Go in there, yell AI sucks, kick an admin over the shins and run away laughing maniacally.

Would CVRIE and Codsworth be pro AI trolls? Obviously X6-88 would be with all that Institute propaganda that Shawn programmed him with.
X6-88 would deny the existence of true, sentient AI, while CVRIE and Codsworth would fight for their rights.

The Ai simps are the worst around here. Fucking pathetic excuses of human existence defending Ai slop and the use of Clankers.
That and the brainrot that .ml and dbzer0 have can all go rot in a hole with the tankie and Nazi shitheads.
I thought it wae funny seeing that I was banned from most of the pro-AI comms on dbzer0 like a whole week after I had already blocked them because I don't wanna see AI slop and with the reason being that I'm apparently the "slopper." 🤣
I'm not really anti AI, but I do have plenty of issues with it. Mostly with how it is trained and pushed. Well and almost everyone in charge of it. It feels like the worst people are excited at the idea of replacing people and it is very dystopian.
But like, I don't hate LLMs. In fact what I hate the most about them is the human aspects I guess. Like I see a lot of people on forums almost religious about it.
Anyways, I know Lemmy hates it. What is the main reason? Is it similar to what I dislike about it or is the underlying technology (not the copyright issues) also upsetting people?

The only instance that I'm banned on (at least as far as I'm aware of, I don't think you actually get notifications for that so maybe there's more I don't know about) I just asked an admin of if I could request a ban, where does that fit?
