The first thing I thought of when seeing yours was chrysocolla but I'm not totally convinced.

Is it magnetic? Radioactive? Fluorescent?

I had a mineralogy professor that was notorious for giving lab practicals that would consist of wonky specimens of similar/exact same colors. So ID from physical appearance was not a good option. You had to rely on all the other properties for identification.

Yeah, it's always best to examine a sample in all the ways you can. Especially radioactivity.
