major powers including the US, China and India are not part of the talks.

EU sent its own delegation. I'd say it's a pretty major power all things considered. A few other big economies on the list as well

list of participantsAngola, Australia, Austria, Bangladesh, Belgium, Brazil, Cambodia, Cameroon, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Denmark, Dominican Republic, European Union, Fiji, Finland, France, Germany, Ghana, Guatemala, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Jamaica, Kiribati, Luxembourg, Maldives, Marshall Islands, Mauritius, Mexico, Mongolia, Netherlands, Nigeria, Norway, Palau, Panama, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Portugal, Senegal, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Switzerland, Trinidad and Tobago, Türkiye, Tuvalu, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, United Republic of Tanzania, Uruguay, Vanuatu, Vietnam.

Also, disappointed/surprised at the lack of China there. They are on the forefront of renewable energy, and are set to benefit the most from decarbonization.

Can you explain why you say China would benefit most from decarbonization?

They are currently best positioned to build and sell all kinds of renewable energy generation and storage methods. And they're getting very good at nuclear too. They are set to benefit the most from everyone ditching fossil fuels.

They will profit by burning FFs and at the same time selling renewables. They obviously have no intent to ban carbon internally
