Yeah, skip back to my post from April 7 or 8 to see the unexpectedly exploded Hyundai. Wasn't even nothing wrong with it, it ran great, and had been parked for around 6 or 7 hours, so it's not even like it came in hot off the highway or anything. It blew up around 1:30am
Arson seriously suspected, but the cops don't seem to give a shit to even investigate security footage ☹️

We weren't exactly planning to make this a daily driver, but something happened early last month and apparently someone blew up my roommate's 05 Hyundai Tucson in the middle of the night, arson highly suspected ☹️

Well phuck, I finally got the backstory of the missing half of the dashboard from my mom yesterday.
She said he had lost his phone, and for whatever reason he thought the dashboard somehow ate it. By the time she realized what he was doing to the truck, she just went out and called his phone. It was sitting in the bed of the truck the whole time.. 🤦♂️
Her old man (not my actual father), wasn't exactly the brightest egg in the toolbox...
That is epic.
I have had dashboards that far apart, myself. But I...uh...put them back together, rather than duct taping over them.
That tape job is pro.

Just got the truck, obviously used and abused, like April 8th. Still sorting out the actually fixable stuff, it's pretty reliable for what it is now, but yeah some things aren't quite worth a whole teardown and rebuild..
no airbag either?
Driver's steering wheel supposedly still has an airbag, but definitely not the passenger side.
