You can’t have communism and billionaires either.
Nor a functioning climate.
We should bring back volcano sacrifices and get rid of one of those things.
You don't know for sure that volcano sacrifices don't work! I for one am willing to give it a try.
You can't have billionaires and any sort of just system, period.
A single billionaire is a symptom of a system destined to fail.
Let them reach a net worth of 999 million, anything if above they can choose to transfer to whoever they want to, as long as it's a person who has wealth cap left.
Don't have anyone left you want to transfer to? Above a billion is 100% tax or you can donate to a registered charity. With all the charity loopholes closed.
So the superyacht industry goes away. Big fucking whoop. That's a tumor that needs excising.
I think this is a great article but I had to ragequit a third of the way through reading because McGinn’s (the author the article was critiquing) arguments were genuinely ragebait lmao.

There are a number of variants, but we can provisionally define it as a political ideology which prescribes the use of democratic collective action to extend the principles of freedom and equality valued by democrats in the political sphere to the organization of the economy and society, chiefly by opposing the inequality and oppression created by laissez-faire capitalism.
