Toxic masculinity and using car size as a pseudo-proxy for wealth?
Women are just as bad or worse here with their mega SUV's. But the government are the ones who facilitate this by giving tax breaks for giant vehicles.

As a Mini Cooper driver and motorcycle rider, people in giant personal vehicles are dorks.
As a driver of Mazda's smallest car and a cyclist, I completely agree.

not sure about that...i rent them in iceland quite a lot and it's a near perfect vehicle in my opinion

That is better than what they used to be. They used to rollover without weight in top. They were sold as Samurai in the US.
I will always advocate for a higher hood height requiring a higher class of license.
