If you mean by people: I have always been kind of jumpy when touched. I am not touch averse, though.

If you mean like sense of touch broadly: As a kid tags really bothered me. Same with sticky stuff on my hands - like glue or paint. As an adult, tags and textures no longer bother me, but I still dislike stuff on my hands.

I got an ice cream cone a few weeks ago...while walking around, the cone somehow slipped from my grip. My dumb ass went "I'm athletic...I can easily stop this from hitting the ground and save my ice cream cone." No one bothered to tell me, much like a knife, a falling ice cream cone has no handle. By the time I regained control of my ice cream cone, the damage was done...my hands were a fucking nightmare. Ice cream everywhere... about 3 miles from home, on foot.

Needless to say...the rest of my afternoon, and most of my night were ruined. Even after washing my hands multiple times, I still knew they were sticky.

I can handle itchy/stiff clothing and the seam on socks better than when I was little, but I’m not a fan of people touching me especially compulsory hugs for family members or just random people invading my personal space.

Worst part is I’m definitely touch starved, but what I need is consensual cuddles not random people invading my personal space without my consent

Like a goose, or like a train?

When I was little I was very touch sensitive. Clothing labels and seams in my socks were my bugbears. I also hated baggy clothing.

When I was 11 I developed a deep desire to touch and be touched by people. I still feel that, and even non-consensual touch feels nice (so I have to remind myself that it's not ok). Not reaching out and stroking or holding other people is still something that requires effort.

So, in that regard I have a sensitivity to lack of touch :-/

After a shower (which I already dread because it is overstimulating) I take very long to dry off because I need all water to be gone off of my skin.

If I do not I can feel a single drop of water rolling down my skin. Somehow this is even more overstimulating than the shower itself, so I hate it even more.

You'll need to be a bit more specific with that question. Touch as in human contact? Touch as in what I touch with my hands? Or as skin contact with other materials? In any part of the body? I have several kinds of sensitivity to touch.

Hard to tell.
I wouldn't say there are any specific materials i cant tolerate touching, but i can barely tolerate clothes that "form fitting" or around.
Now on the other side, I really don't like to be touched by anyone, but i can get used to under it to a degree under certain circumstances and i absolutely cant understand how the hell is touch, even form a loved one, supposed to be enjoyable. It's uncomfortable as fuck.

My clothes have to be positioned just right, and my hair is sooo itchy, it must stay off my face! (Though, I'm willing to suffer for ✨fashion✨).

For human touch, DO NOT TOUCH ME unless i know you and say it's okay (though, this might be my OCD freeking out about the germs...) I'm so touch-starved though. I need cuddles.

When sleeping, I always wear a long pyjama trouser, otherwise the blanket touching me keeps me up.

[–] Alvaro@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 4 weeks ago

I respond even through winter gloves

When someone leans in for a hug, the air moved by their body blasts me away

[–] Itdidnttrickledown@lemmy.world 1 points 3 weeks ago

I don't even like my kids hugging me. The older I get the less I tolerate it.
