I don't want to ask Google. I want to have a conversation with real people. I don't even give a shit about the answer.

I agree some of the time. It's like people don't know how to use a search bar. It's not rocket science, you type the words you're interested in and go.

Now, is the question in a question community, like no stupid questions? Search for it first, lazy ass.
Actually, no stupid questions here does not work. It's filled with ridiculous spam "questions" that don't have any thought behind them.

Me ten years later, googling something and finding nothing but a bunch of responses telling somebody to Google it.

Yes, some stuff is good for fodder for discussion and questions or yo get nuance. A bunch is just engagement bait or laziness.

I wonder if partly AI chat ots make conversational questioning more nor all without people considering whether it is coming from a computer or a person.

It's really just the one dude inundating asklemmy with questions that are easily googlable. He asked if there was a way to make a recovery USB today. That shit has been documented in detail 100 million times since the 90s.

I'd block don, but he occasionally does ask a banger.

I reckon its that, almost no activity or 90% sex related questions. Google has also become mostly garbage results now too.

Depending on the topic, it can be difficult to find good answers for some things that aren't AI slop, so I could see people asking here instead to get a real human answer.

This really drive me crazy when they ask for factual questions like "How tall is Mt Everest?" or similar. When you call them out they always have the same excuse "I don't want a search engine answer I want to know what other people think" but its not an opinion question! It doesn't matter what anyone thinks the height of Mt Everest is.

I don't know how to understand this except as extremely laziness.

I feel like some of the frequent daily lazy question posters are playing a game to see just how many lazy questions they can get other people to look up for them.
