*jar" doesn't really seem like the correct work for 10,000 anything unless its rice?
It's probably a translation thing. English probably got the word Jar from French but uses it in a slightly different way.
"Jar" originally could be used for larger containers too, like amphorae. It's just nowadays people "defaulted" it to those small glass containers with (usually metal) lids.
โฆI want a jar of cookies. In the old sense of the word.

On a lighter side, while checking the comments, I found this link in the site, with a blocking game from 200 CE. Played it a bit against the CPU, and it seems fun.

Oh. I see. It turns out our calendar system is "woke", "patriot Christians" are an "oppressed minority" and archeology is "theft from hard-working private landowners".
First comment with the (probably from the US) dude confidently being wrong about french law regarding archeological finds is pretty entertaining.
Also the one throwing a fit about "CE" vs "AD" notation for years is pretty great
