A place for stoner, doom, heavy blues, psych and just good rock n roll.

To be clear, drugs have nothing to do with the music. For now, ‘stoner rock’ is whatever music (made by humans) that you think it is.

Concerts! That’s what its all about, right? Let's hear about concerts you’ve been to or tours coming up and ongoing. Expect some regular On Tour Now threads, or start your own.

We are going to do a few interviews. Gotta get a better mic and a plan together first. But if there’s any interest in interviews, let us know!

Bands need money (and usually a shower too.) If you can, include a place to buy whatever music you post, perhaps bandcamp or the band label's site.
Really, the best thing you can do to get money directly to the bands is go to a show and buy their merch.

Be nice, or at least marginally polite. We are here to share music.

Hi there! I'm Doubting Thomas. I recently volunteered to mod this semi-abandoned comm.

I feel music should be an inclusive thing, and I love the original mod's open attitude. I love heavy, spacey rock. To be clear, I've smoked a lot of pot in my life, but drugs have nothing to do with the music. When I was in school, 'stoners' were the long-hair kids smoking cigarettes across the street. I was one of them. For now, 'stoner rock' is whatever music (made by humans) that you think it is.

I would love some help! I really want a new header graphic. The current one is ... well its cool and all, but I'm not fond of it. I'm a terrible but prolific digital artist. If someone wants to make a new graphic, it will probably be better than my work. Ping me with ideas or submissions. No AI.

Concerts! That's what its all about, right? I want to hear about concerts you've been to. I want to write about tours coming up or ongoing. Hell, I want to go to more shows.

I hope to do a few interviews. I don't really have the setup for this yet. I should get a better mic and a plan together before I try. But if there's any interest in interviews, let me know!

I have an idea for the new header graphic. I'm gonna collect a list of names for this music we love and put them in some word cloud app. I'll take a screenshot of that, and then overlay it with the name of the comm.

So ... I need to start with a list. And I should expect to recreate it as I find new names. Here's a few. Feel free to contribute.

Ya, idk there's a lot more. And the more we list, the more inclusive the comm will be.

Edit ... Dang. Well, I tried that idea. My results are not wonderful. Definitely gonna redo it and soon.
