The key to a good stoner rock album is a hell of a hook on that first song. GIÖBIA delivers with their 2015 release, Magnifier. This is space rock. Think Hawkwind with better equipment and a more modern sensibility, but just as wild and out there.
This is GIÖBIA's best album. They've got a lot of other good stuff. Been around forever.
I would also recommend their Night Sounds and Acid Disorder albums.

I've been listening to this nonstop for a couple weeks. These guys hit some slightly psycho spaces like Far Flung and use a trippy soundscape like Giobia.
They've actually done a split with Giobia. I came across them because they are on the HEAVY PSYCH SOUNDS Records label, like a damn good portion of the best Stoner Rock bands in Europe. Although new to me, they are not at all new, rockin since 2010.
Put it on repeat.
