Why would anyone donate to a for profit company?
Dear patron,
in light of the recent bad publicity for shining a light on our Nazi leanings, we've decided that we can't afford any more bad publicity at the moment, and are highlighting how cool and good we are by eating a small financial mistake we made.
Rest assured that if we couldn't financially afford to do this we wouldn't be allowing you to keep your free month.Best,
Do you have a source for that claim?
I can't see such a question without this coming to mind... e.e"

Of their knowing sharing of Nazi imagery? Yes.
Then… can you share that source with us? I won’t just believe you unless you can give me evidence
They basically used runes in a newsletter for a promotion of a game that "rendered unfavorably on some devices". Whether it's a QA error or if it was intentional with "plausible deniability" was debated everywhere a few weeks ago.

And not only that, but they said "Hey, Germans will probably he sensitive to these so we'll ship these to everyone but them".
German team flagged it, but did not communicate it in time to the other teams.
It's probably not about sensitivity(people outside of Germany are actually more sensitive to that for obvious reasons) but because it's illegal in Germany.
Sure, but the issue remains the same; they absolutely knew what those symbols would be interpreted as, and still went aged with it.
The game being advertised talks about how Nazis adopted ancient symbols that previously had nothing to do with Nazis. A problem to have the double lightning bolts there but it's a bit of a stretch to say it's some kind of "tee hee we're actually Nazis" dog whistle bs.
Source or fuck the hell off.
Go fuck yourself, trash. Learn to read.
So no source then. Go spread your lies elsewhere.
There is quite literally a source posted directly above you. Stop flaming, calm down and take in new information. This was a very well publicized story.
The apology doesn't substantially address how the symbols wound up in the email in the first place. The problem with the runes isn't their placement, it's that they are explicitly and indelibly associated with Nazis and white supremacists. Just as with the swastika, their meaning prior to the Third Reich is irrelevant: The Nazi links are too clear and prevalent to pretend that any other connection is equally meaningful.
A source was already shared hours before you decided to be a dick. Fuck off and read it.
A relevant source, I do not see one where GOG is ran by nazis mr tourette.
Disabilities as insults? That makes sense for you, tbh. My instinct was right: you're genuinely a bad person.
Get blocked, loser.
SOURCE
Lol you're the one spewing insults as a maniac (in maniac good enough for you?) because you don't have the mental capacity to respond in a normal way. Moron is maybe better, or is that too bad too for mr sensitive snowflake?
Oh you do have a source? Please share then, I'd like to learn.
A source has already been shared, hours ago. You're clearly just trying to be antagonizing.
Not at all, you were the one who said you had a source. So I wanted your source. I've read the ones other people posted. But you are the one antagonizing, because you started this whole source discussion, yet you seem to be the only one who isn't providing one. You're just talking shit and letting everyone else try to back you up.
You wanna parrot what you "heard" and expect others to back you up, but when I ask you for a source, I want yours. But sure, sit on that high horse if you want, but everyone else can see it's not a horse, it's an ass.
