Flippant Anarchism. A lighter take on social criticism with the aim of agitation.

Post humorous takes on capitalism and the states which prop it up. Memes, shitposting, screenshots of humorous good takes, discussions making fun of some reactionary online, it all works.

This community is anarchist-flavored. Reactionary takes won't be tolerated.

Don't take yourselves too seriously. Serious posts go to !anarchism@lemmy.dbzer0.com

  4. Absolutely no redfash jokes. This includes anything that props up the capitalist ruling classes pretending to be communists.

  6. This is an anarchist comm. You don't have to be an anarchist to post, but you should at least understand what anarchism actually is. We're not here to educate you.

  7. No shaming people for being anti-electoralism. This should be obvious from the above point but apparently we need to make it obvious to the turbolibs who can't control themselves. You have the rest of lemmy to moralize.

The green represents the need for ecological revolution, whilst the black is a nod to the original black anarchist flag. The blood red snowflake represents how the environment is dying from eco-fascism.

Edit: very important to mention that I am Canadian. The permafrost and Arctic are melting.

Snowflake is a derogatory word that boomers use to describe young people who are considerate of others, demand respect, or who react poorly to abuse. (in US) To me the snowflake represents millineals

[–] lavenderbreton@slrpnk.net 1 points 3 days ago

I think it's perfect then

[–] Peppycito@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 week ago (2 children)

This isn't even the final form. The snowflake is pretty lame as rallying totem, despite the symbolism you might attach to it.

[–] lavenderbreton@slrpnk.net 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

People on Lemmy are mean as hell. Here's a new one then 🙄

[–] Peppycito@sh.itjust.works -2 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Mean as hell? Maybe people on lemmy are fragile snowflakes?

Sorry to say bro, it gives me E Plurabus Anus vibes.

[–] vegafjord@slrpnk.net 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Just because you have a dirty mind doesnt mean everybody has it.

[–] Peppycito@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

Just because you don't doesn't mean others won't drag it into the gutter.

[–] vegafjord@slrpnk.net 0 points 1 week ago

Seems like you are putting a lot of effort into making other people feel like shit? Do you do this all day?

[–] lavenderbreton@slrpnk.net -1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

You're only proving my point. Maybe be nicer when giving criticism to a real human being next time. Sure, fragile; I recently experienced homeless for the 2nd time at 22 years old, so pardon me for expecting a little more kindness from a political faction claiming to support people like me.

Dude, it's a diver down flag with an asterix in the middle, it's far from a personal attack. I don't care if you have red hair and wear suspenders, it's a shit flag.

Show some humanity man😡

[–] Peppycito@sh.itjust.works 0 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Go to art school dude. Criticism is not an attack. If you can't deal with my interpretation that's on you bro.

[–] libre_warrior@lemmy.ml 0 points 1 week ago (1 children)

theres a difference between criticism and bullying

[–] Peppycito@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I don't like your flag. Is not the same as I don't like you.

I'm starting to feel bullied because I think the flag is shit. "You guys" are picking on the vexillologicaly inclined.

[–] libre_warrior@lemmy.ml 0 points 1 week ago (1 children)

well, Im glad you feel bullied.

[–] Peppycito@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 week ago

You should take a breath, reread this thread and then go play volleyball with your friends.

why the fuck is people upvoting butthurt comments like this?

[–] Digit@lemmy.wtf 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I love irony, even when its basic three fingers pointing back while projecting.

This isn’t even the final form. The snowflake is pretty lame as rallying totem, despite the symbolism you might attach to it.

Not a butthurt comment.

why the fuck is people upvoting butthurt comments like this?

A butthurt comment.

[–] libre_warrior@lemmy.ml 0 points 1 week ago (2 children)

being passive aggressive against somebody who expresses themselves constructively is being butthurt

[–] Peppycito@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 week ago

Art is subjective. I was giving my honest opinion, you felt attacked.

I like your sock puppet.

[–] Digit@lemmy.wtf 2 points 1 week ago

LMAO. I honestly cannot tell if you're doing that intentionally now. XD

[–] libre_warrior@lemmy.ml 3 points 1 week ago

I think the symbolism could be improved, but I still think it is great that you are experimenting with symbolism:D Symbolism is such a great way of showing what we believe in and making dragments, and it is a way of diversifying which will strengthen us.

I'm with you on the symbolism of green and black, but I'm a little sceptical of the red snowflake although I agree with the underlying meaning. It is true that red is associated with head and that the snowflake is associated with coldness, however in symbolism this doesn't necessarily translate to the conceptual metaphor of melting.

I'd perhaps suggest using the symbol that represents ice glaciers. That could be a drawing of a glacier, but it could also be a polar bear or anything we strongly /universally associate with the glaciers.

[–] als@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

My take on this is that you don't need one flag to explain every aspect of your politics. It's ok to use the existing anarchocommunist red and black flag and the green anarchist green ans black flag. That way, people actually know what you're trying to convey

[–] libre_warrior@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 week ago

Yes, if we don't conform to anarchism we are going to tear it's fabric appart.

[–] melsaskca@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 week ago

The "red" and "black" indicates a Nazi party who care about the environment (but not about the filthy, dirty-blooded humans). Maybe it should still be an iteration and not a final ~~solution~~ rendition. /s

[–] Digit@lemmy.wtf 2 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

honest impression...

.... looks like it's saying there'll be so much death, the snow will be blood red.

and reminds a bit of the bio-hazard symbol too.

[PS: AND THAT'S NOT A GOOD THING! ... CONSIDER: WHAT IF: ALL ART, A TOOL OF MANIFESTATION ...?]

[–] cptbichez@leminal.space 1 points 1 week ago

While i really like the design, the color instant reminded me of arrow cross party's flag (which is awful tbh), but i love the idea of the snowflake

[–] Waterpumpee@lemmus.org -5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

looks alot like palestine and thus loads that conflict onto yours. Even if greta did that, i'd separate climate issues from any other worldly political issues as this only diminishes your supporters.

[–] lavenderbreton@slrpnk.net 9 points 1 week ago

Climate change is political
