Organizing helps communities, not guns.

Organising is great but guns are necessary against the other people with guns.

two things are necessary to be successful in a revolution . . . an idea in the head, and a bullet in the rifle! The force of action guided by the force of Anarchist thought.

Kropotkin

Under no pretext should arms and ammunition be surrendered; any attempt to disarm the workers must be frustrated, by force if necessary

Marx

The great means for the defence of the revolution remain as ever that of depriving the bourgeoisie of the economic means by which they rule, of arming everyone (until such time as they can be induced to toss their weapons aside as useless and dangerous toys) and of interesting the great mass of the population in victory.

Malatesta

Let every greasy, grimy tramp arm himself with a knife or a gun, and lay in wait on the steps of the palaces of the rich and stab or shoot the owners as they come out

Parsons

Agree, but of my observation in Europe at least, much more organizing is needed before guns.

Otherwise you just have more vigilantism.

It's much easier to get the guns before you're that organized, and the neat part is they don't disappear when you are.

They're not going to hand out gun licences to convicted criminals (read: people who attended a peaceful demonstration for a cause they don't like), so why not support allies that want to get one if they're interested?

Good point, but I don't think it outweighs the negatives of arming the general public indiscriminately.

Must gun death in the US are self inflicted. Additionally there are cases of school shootings that are due to not well kept guns at home. People on the left are also not immune to crimes of passion or road rage accidents etc.

Por que no los dos?

The Black Panthers wouldn't have been nearly as effective without guns, and completely ineffective without organization.

Slight nitpick: 2nd Amendment is not for everyone in AmeriKKKa. E.g., gun control laws were enacted after the Black Panthers got armed.

We should own and operate firearms and use them to defend against the oppressors regardless of the colonialist toilet paper says.

I'm on a waiting list for a shooting course. ✌️ In my country, you need to either be an active member of a shooting club (my case) or be a hunter to be able to carry weapons. Even then, the former is restricted to pistols and revolvers, the latter to single shot rifles. Only the military and the police may carry automatic weapons.
