For those that have had enough of the Elon Musk worship online.

No flaming, baiting, etc. This community is intended for those opposed to the influx of Elon Musk-related advertising online. Coming here to defend Musk or his companies will not get you banned, but it likely will result in downvotes. Please use the reporting feature if you see a rule violation.

Opinions from all sides of the political spectrum are welcome here. However, we kindly ask that off-topic political discussion be kept to a minimum, so as to focus on the goal of this sub. This community is minimally moderated, so discussion and the power of upvotes/downvotes are allowed, provided lemmy.world rules are not broken.

Post links to instances of obvious Elon Musk fanboy brigading in default subreddits, lemmy/kbin communities/instances, astroturfing from Tesla/SpaceX/etc., or any articles critical of Musk, his ideas, unrealistic promises and timelines, or the working conditions at his companies.

Tesla-specific discussion can be posted here as well as our sister community /c/RealTesla.

convicted paedophile

He is a convicted rapist not just a "paedophile". Paedophilia is a mental condition - and we are way past that - so why spread nonsence such as "convicted paedophile" when in fact we're talking about a sex offender/rapist.

[–] kilgore_trout@feddit.it 11 points 6 days ago

Uff, to use proper words nowadays seems impossible.
Worth to add that the majority of child sexual abusers are not peadophiles, rather it's about power dynamics and not sexual attraction.

[–] ddplf@szmer.info -5 points 6 days ago (3 children)

This looks like an attempt to normalize adults being attracted to children.

and we are way past that

Who's we?

when in fact we're talking about a sex offender/rapist.

No, we're in fact talking about a children sex offender/children rapist

[–] Taleya@aussie.zone 3 points 6 days ago

Nonono. People who are sexually attracted to prepubescent children have a malfunctioning part of their brain identifying viable sexual partners

People who rape post pubescent children are monsters who are fully aware that what they are doing is wrong and fucked up and that's why they do it.

Your brain has been scrambled by a moral panic. Not joking one bit.

[–] Virtvirt588@lemmy.world 1 points 6 days ago

What the hell are you even talking about? This really reads like a troll comment more than anything.

[–] ZILtoid1991@lemmy.world 4 points 6 days ago

Why didn't Elon Musk just have sex with adult midgets?

This guy at least looked as a better person when he was poorer. And still after many years of being rich there are no promised Mars explorations whatsoever.

That it’s public knowledge he is not only a wanna-be pedophile, but he is such a lame-ass that even pedophiles didn’t want him around, has to sting pretty bad.

Edit: I mean ”wanna-be” in that someone of his financial status was extremely excited to engage in that behavior, and they are still all “yeah, nah, mate”. He still thoroughly qualified himself as a pedo with those messages, to be clear.

[–] Rothe@piefed.social 17 points 1 week ago

He did attend the parties though. Other mails attested to that.

Instead of having to click an extra button after clicking the send button, just put a space in the subject and the client won't ask you if you're sure you want to send without a subject. That's my guess as to why it looks this way.

Resident evil

[–] andros_rex@lemmy.world 8 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Epstein didn’t bother typing anything into his subject lines half the time (his email skills rival that of the age group he was preying on).

So when Musk replied, it was just “re: [blank]”

[–] jaybone@lemmy.zip 3 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Don’t most email clients, or possibly even the SMTP server itself, add something like “(no subject)” when you “forget” to add a subject line (after warning you about it multiple times. I think even the pine mail client did this.) So back in the day when no one understood email, and this is way way after that time period, you would see subject lines like “RE: (no subject)”

So it’s weird to me to just see “RE” all by itself.

That was my point.

But I appreciate all of the replies educating me on the history of email. ❤️👍🏻🦕

[–] andros_rex@lemmy.world 2 points 6 days ago

It shows up in the DOJ’s files without the “no subject.” Not the same Musk email, but a different one:

It’s kinda funny how in business school, you are taught a lot about email etiquette, but at a certain level it apparently doesn’t matter.

[–] SCmSTR@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Sorry, couldn't resist.

"re:" is a professional but maybe outdated way of responding to "regarding" something.

In musk's case here, who fucking knows, billionaires all use emails like shitty chat, and pedo billionaires all talk in code, so it could honestly be anything or even an automatic subject line fill.

I'm assuming it just means "regarding (the thing WINK WINK)"

Edit: usually it's typed something like this:

Subject: RE: birthday party
Body: make sure the dancers are only paid after they perform. Also, no peanuts, half of attendees are allergic.

Reply, from the unreleased Trump-Epstein Files:

"Look, Elon, because you've made so many requests to visit my island, I feel I have to be completely honest with you: You will never be invited to my island.

The hard truth is that it's tough enough to keep these girls in the game, pretending to be having fun with these fat old perverts, but it would be impossible with a naked troll dancing around, saying bizarre shit. You're scary enough with your clothes on, I can't imagine how they'd feel with your clothes off. They're only little girls after all.

Sorry, dude, but it's a Hard No.

Your friend,

JE"

Not even a pedophile wanted that idiot 😭

convicted pedophile

Pretty sure there's no crime just being a pedophile. Pretty sure the crime is acting on it. But no one really understands we're in a police state...meaning the state is police and Epstein was Mossad and thus a cop and is still alive because he was a cop. Cops have to tell the truth, right? Yea, the state is lying to you. Trumps a cop too. Hunter Biden. The Clintons. Israel is a cop, ffs. Lost tribe strategy; have part of your network play the heel for intelligence gathering and counterintelligence purposes. But I just stare at goats, what do I know having done propaganda n counterintelligence work for twelve years? You sure know more than me watching the news for twelve years, right? Bro, I wrote that news. It's not real. Operation Mockingbird was fifty years ago. The New Testament describes a decentralized autonomous organization of secret police at an eighth grade reading level. Get with the program, loser.
