I was playing the game via wine just yesterday. But it's been a while since I installed it

Check the logs but some of the latest wine versions have been a bit dodgy with SC
I had a similar issue on CachyOS. The launcher would crash a few seconds, or even a minute or two after starting the game download.
Updating my Wine Runner to v11.12-1 fixed it for me.
Run the LUG helper script -> Manage Wine Runners -> Install a runner from LUG Wine -> select a newer version.
I also heard there were some issues with v11.13, so I'm sticking with v11.12 for now.
Does the issue happens on the same version of the launcher or was there an update between both of your installs? Maybe something changed since then causing a new bug?
Can't say I had this specific issue with the RSI Launcher but I had something similar happen with The Elder Scrolls Online one (just with constant freezing instead of outright crashing). In my case the reason is download speed - if I leave it uncapped, the whole thing gets bogged down for some reason.
No idea if it's the same problem here but you could try changing either the speed limit or the max concurrent download value.
It was one of the first things I installed after the clean boot, so new problem with the same launcher. I might have an opposite issue to you, with a slow download that might cause issues. But the crashes is clean shutdowns, no warning or error, just closes down and opens up normally if I try again.
Have you checked the "sc-launch.log" file? It should be in the root of your prefix folder, might have something useful about the crashes.
