I'm all the way down in Virginia and the smoke from the Canadian wildfires was so bad that I woke up from sleeping with the windows open and legit thought I was about to suffocate from breathing that shit in my sleep for 6 hours . I didn't know it was going to blow in. Get a hepa filter for wherever you stay. Mine clogged up in three days from the smoke unfortunately it was off that night I slept with the windows open.

It's getting better and the wind, albeit carrying the fumes to the other side of France, only does so west-east, not up north, so you should be fine!
