I'd remove the "men" part and just say I hate the system and the system hates women.
WomensStuff
Women only trans inclusive This is an inclusive community for all things women. Whether you're here for make up tips, feminism or just friendly chit chat, we've got you covered.
Rules…
- Women only… trans women are women, and transphobic or gender critical talk isn’t allowed. Anyone under the trans umbrella (e.g. non-binary, bigender, agender) is free to decide whether a women's community is a good fit for them.
- Don’t be a dick. No personal attacks, no aggression, play nice.
- Don’t hate on groups, hatefilled talk about groups is not allowed. Ever.
- No governmental politics, so no talk of Trump actions etc. We recommend Feminism@beehaw.org for that, but here is an escape from it.
- New accounts or users with few comments may have their posts removed to prevent spam and bad-faith participation.
I like that edit a lot!
I hate this generalising. It only breeds more disdain
It's a conversation starter for sure.
We don't even hate men, patriarchy isn't just men, it's fully intertwined with capitalism. We hate a system that actively devalues anything feminine, when what we really need is balance of masculine and feminine.
I have a very similar point. Every time i see similar statements or posts, i feel somewhat uncomfortable, because there are many great men in this world which actually value women as people. The problem is with society as a whole and its untold patriarchic norms, which are especially bad when the rules and laws are based on them.
It is hard to fight patriarchy when it produces more of itself. People are forced to behave in certain "norms" even when they dont want to; for example when men themselves are being humiliated by dressing certain way they want. Kids are being educated by patriarchic parents simply repeats the cycle, unless they decide to break it themself as adults. And also, patriarchy harms every person, even men, but of course the women and lgbtq people are the most common targets.
I really appreciate this addition, well said!
Yep. The hatred isn’t towards men, it’s towards violent hierarchical structures that harm and marginalize countless people.
Disgust is reserved for those who willingly enact and enforce that system.
2/10 post, flat out incorrect and pretty sexist
thats a strong statement. perhaps you could elaborate?
hmmmm, really depends . . . . I know some women who hate men, because their fathers were assholes who abused their mothers. I completely understand why such women would hate men categorically, because they were raised horribly by the first man they encountered in life.
It really sucks for men like me, who were raised with love, but because of other men who weren't raised right, I'm thrown in the same bucket as the abusers because well, I'm just a man, right?
Hi Soma thanks for giving us you're perspective! We are women only so please don't comment again thanks for understanding 🥰
Gently, I think this is a comment is worth bringing up somewhere, but better posed on c/mensliberation or elsewhere. Women just want a space to vent amongst ourselves, and this is the space designated for that, per rule #1. If you're one of the good ones like you say, then you have nothing to worry about, your actions will show through and don't need to interject in this particular space.

That is reinforcing the statement in the meme that women hate men as a system.

Even here, you're blaming these men's parents for not raising them right which is interesting.
There are men that are abusers. If you're not, then why do you lump yourself in with those types of men?
Good point. Yes absolutely it's about how they were raised, but abusive men have responsibility for their choices
