The show is slapdash through out, and it wears it on its sleeve. The writing is all over the place, some of the supporting cast are basically wood statues, and the plots lean very hard into zany, but honestly, the show still makes it work, mainly due to the excellent chemistry of the main cast. There are many arcs and scences with raw, emotional impact, and you will be rooting for the charectors as the universe fucks them over, again and again. They do tend to give as hard as they get it, and then some.

If you like your scifi unapologetically weird, filled with strange aliens that are actually strange, with a main protagonist that grins when shit hits the fan, you'll love it.

Eh... I didn't like it. Bad writing. But a lot of people love it. Watch it, it starts okay and gets worse IMO.
