Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Is there a shortage of empty headed bimbos who will do and say anything to be part of the "elite" in DC?

[–] eurodyne@piefed.world 39 points 1 day ago

Fox News has been on the air for 29 years, so obviously not

There's nothing special or unique about her at all that I can see other than her willingness to debase herself personally and professionally.

[–] a_non_monotonic_function@lemmy.world 9 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I think the exceptional willing to debase herself is her superpower.

In his previous term Trump had people literally hiding in bushes and quitting after a single scaramucci.

[–] TheJesusaurus@piefed.ca 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Well.... I mean you've really manipulated your use of units here to serve your point....

Wiktionary:

Etymology edit Borrowed from Italian Scaramucci. The measurement comes from Anthony Scaramucci's short time as White House Director of Communications in 2017.

extreme nose blindness

What's special is her manipulation skills and her improvisation. It's rare.

[–] tortina_original@lemmy.world 10 points 1 day ago

Are you dumb? She is just another narcissist that has no problem lying, nothing unique or special about her. Little of what I used to hear was like listening to an imbecile talking. Simple lies and idiotic, shallow gotchas. And who cares what she was bleating about anyway, no normal human would listen to that shit. She was preaching to a choir.

[–] Almacca@aussie.zone 6 points 1 day ago

How easily impressed are you?

[–] TheJesusaurus@piefed.ca 4 points 1 day ago

I think you might be out of your fucking mind

[–] Sanctus@anarchist.nexus 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

"Why are you obstructing the Epstein Files?"

"The DOW is over 50,000!"

Masterful manipulation.

All MAGA women look the same 🤷

[–] Malyca@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 day ago

Fair enough lol

[–] daannii@lemmy.world 3 points 22 hours ago

Millers wife. Same energy and personality. Belligerent. Yells a lot. Constantly telling others they are attacking her.

She is brown though and not blonde. 🤷

(Unless I'm confusing her with some other crazy woman that was on some interview somewhere. I can't remember. Few months back ? ).

[–] vegeta@lemmy.world 24 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

I mean, how many blonde sycophant lapdogs can there be in the world?

You mean future First Lady Vance?

[–] BuckFutter@timeyak.com 9 points 1 day ago

Crazy that there is a non zero chance this might happen. On tonight’s edition of between two couches…lol

[–] BuckFutter@timeyak.com 3 points 1 day ago

This is where my money is at, what does polymarket say? 😂

[–] TryingToBeGood@reddthat.com 13 points 1 day ago (2 children)

job requirements:

  1. Be able to lie to the press and the public with a straight face.

  2. ....see No. 1

[–] luciferofastora@feddit.org 2 points 21 hours ago

Must be able to suck mushroom dick and still be composed and presentable for a press conference twenty seconds later

[–] Maeve@kbin.earth 4 points 1 day ago
  1. Be on call 24/7/365
[–] fox2263@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago (1 children)

She was good at spinning a yarn

[–] Almacca@aussie.zone 11 points 1 day ago (1 children)

She really wasn't. Nothing believable ever left her mouth.

[–] GreenBeard@lemmy.ca 9 points 1 day ago

I mean, garbage in, garbage out. When your job is to tell lies so obvious no rational human being would believe them with a straight face, that's a skill set. Whether that skill set is actually useful to humanity is questionable, but she clearly has a gift for marketing.

[–] sik0fewl@piefed.ca 7 points 1 day ago

Do they even hold press conferences anymore?

[–] DonkeyStar@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago

Think it’s going to be the girl that follows him around lately?

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago
[–] PissMissile@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago

She's already been replaced.

[–] Maeve@kbin.earth 5 points 1 day ago

From what I read somewhere, it's probably because he kept blowing her up while she was on leave.

[–] Jerb322@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

That thumbnail is creepy af.

[–] Corvidae@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Thanks for reminding me of that cross she wore. Karolyin for her Lord.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

These people are so very fucking weird.
