I really liked this show as a kid and I found a collection of all of them someone put together. I started watching them and, wow, what the fuck was wrong with me. The dinosaurs bits actually hold up ok but the eek bits are just unwatchable.

Understandable. Its no in the 2020's in the show, and the show is good.
Thats all im going to say, i hope you find the time to watch it someday :')
