Facts. I have peer-reviewed these findings and corroborate.

In this uncertain cyberpunk era, I am so glad you are using science for the improvement of our love towards cats ❤️

Strange. My results are different. Mine treated it like a Vietnam flashback.

I pick mine up and sing him my song. Then he hits me and runs away.

My cat starts purring every time I do, so consider that my independent study.

I have been able to independently reproduce these results and I find that it also makes me feel really cozy too.

I'd feel offended if I were your chicken and you sang to me about how much you love your cat

[-] southsamurai@sh.itjust.works 6 points 1 week ago

Well, chickens aren't very bright, so they can't tell the difference ;)

Having owned many chickens over the years, their actual intelligence varies quite a bit. In my experience the regular brown laying hens don't usually have too much going on "up there". Pedigreed chickens are usually a good bit smarter. I assume this is mostly because of mass breeding which hasn't occurred with "fancy" breeds nearly as much as with staple animals.

Yeah, our hen is unusually smart for a chicken, compared to the rooster or the basis volunteer hens we've had around. Shes a marans, and they've been bred well for a long time.

Tried singing, then cat licked his butt. Unsure what that means.

[-] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

Clearly he wants you to sing about his but.

They do, they just don't really care.
