I get most of them, but Lich, PA, and Warlock are surprising to me as a low-level player. I guess Warlock's cast times are too long, and maybe he siphons too much farm to himself, but why the other two?
I don't play anymore, but from what I've read elsewhere, PA is heavily countered by buying armor items. Shiva's Guard was very popular in this meta, so that makes PA unpickable. Magic damage was also very strong this year, so her innate evasion is useless and she can't fight without BKB.
She also needs battlefury to farm, so she's very slow. By the time she's ready to fight, teams will have already itemized around her, once again making her useless.

It’s been ages for me too and every one of these was a shock for me. These were all the go-tos back when I played, I didnt know there WERE other heroes.
This is the highest level play in the entire game. I promise all of those heroes are very viable in pubs.
