Turns out it was the optimus prime guy
Aka eeyore
I have rapist, felon, pedophile, and traitor still left on my Bingo card.
And they're all in the same square.
She was 97 rather than 80, but we lost another gem in Yayoi Kusama this week.

And Peter Cullen (Voice of Optimus Prime) today
FUCK
do not grieve, soon i shall be one with the matrix
It's so upsetting how just yesterday I had my library on shuffle and, out of tens of thousands of tracks, it played "Death of Optimus Prime" on the exact day he died.
"Fate rarely calls upon us at a moment of our choosing."
--Optimus Prime
the universe decided to give you some negative frisson. it's not often we get it.
my way to cope with those is to find a quiet spot to sit and just hold the feeling as long as it will last. i think that's because i associate music with positive frisson (you know the way the chords move under the notes that it makes you almost want to weep. it's almost orgasmic when it's done well. at least i hope you know that way. come to one of my gigs or rehearsals (giggity) we try to provide the experience of touching the sacred through song.
wait shit i don't think i'm ready to dox myself yet. lemme ask the wife.
I miss them already
Just checking a list of notable people born in 1946 ...
George W Bush and Bill Clinton were both born in '46.
Holy shit! Timothy Dalton is 80! When did that happen?!
Hmm ... better not be Stallone. He promised us another season of Tulsa King.
Aw, who am I kidding? I want it to be everyone's favourite orange cockbag as much as anyone! Thank you for your attention to this matter!
stevie nicks was born in 48. she was my fearful and tearful guess for next.
Neo-Nazis, I guess.
Everything until 1945 was OG Nazis.
Man, you all really want Cher to die, huh? Messed up...
... fuck. Elon Musk was only born in 1971.
That would be amazing. But he'll live forever. He's multiple decades older than me and somehow he'll still be kicking when I drop off, I'm sure. Because the universe is an asshole.
Also, those 2 were really top notch people, so in the interest of balance, it would need to be a real shitbag...
Evil people never die.
Especially that one.
Oh, but they do. at least for the next decade or 2, after that who knows.
And it's not a consolation, but they always die badly.
Even if he died, they'd Mitch McConnell him.
"he's dead, they just Mitched him." is a fitting legacy for him.
If we go by the rule of 3's we already hit 3, Hayden Panettiere was #1
She was just a bit shy of 80, so I don't think she qualifies for this list.
also Yayoi Kusama. This was a bad week for culture and humanity in general.
Don't forget Schroedinger's Senator. We may or may not have started a new cycle of 3.
The voice of Optimus prime also died, potentially starting another triad.
mitch mcconell was a lich for 1000+years , he doesnt count.
Name rhymes with "Bonald Krump" and he smells of poop π

Sorry but I think Hayden Panettiere was the first of this round of 3
What a fucked up way for me to find out..that Hayden Panettiere was actually 80 π
Seriously, though, this one caught me by surprise for sure!
She was only 36 and, from what little I'd seen of her, she appeared exceptionally wholesome, healthy, and happy as far as I could tell. Reading her Wikipedia after the fact, it turns out I couldn't be much more wrong βΉοΈ
Again, I'm not sure what has you all convinced that the rule of three for celebrity deaths has anything to do with age - it's just about celebrity.
At any rate, yes Hayden's death was particularly surprising - but these things happen. Life is a fleeting thing.

I wasn't agreeing to that (highly specious) hypothesis, just found it funny to pretend that anyone could have mistaken Panettiere for an octogenarian π

Correct.
Sam Neill came close.
I know which famous 80 year old I'm rooting for..
Heβs a symptom, not the disease.
I want to see him and his corrupt family rotting the rest of their lives in a prison.
I'd rather see him in prison than dead. But what I want more than anything is for him to be out of power as soon as possible, and a sudden death from natural causes would be the fastest, easiest way out for us at this point.
I want to not see him at all any more. I want to be able to keep up with events around the world without so much as a tired snort about him. I want him to be so unimportant, not even his death is worth reporting.
Being ignored would be the worst punishment for him, but more than that, it would be the best outcome for everyone else.
I've got a nice bottle of champagne I'm really looking forward to popping open...

My mom. π
