Working in the office I'd go for walks to move around and get out of the office. When I worked at home it felt weird to go for a walk in my neighborhood while working. I never could make it a habit. Not sure why though?

For me it's that little "online" icon beside my name in our company's chat tool.

If I'm afk at the office, no one questions whether I'm working because I'm likely in a physical meeting elsewhere.

At home, being afk absolutely means I'm not working since there is no "elsewhere" I'd be while WFH. It feels like a prison and my body aches at the end of the day from sitting for so long.

Teams? For my work laptop (win 11, dell) if I set a piece of metal on the trackpad it registers as a finger, and the Teams "recently active" icon stays green. Then I have the Teams app on my phone to see if anyone messages me while I'm out.

Just don't forget to take the piece of metal off at the end of the day and accidentally stay "online" until 9pm...

I miss being at a company that used Slack since I could configure how long it took to go AFK. Now I'm stuck with Teams which seems to consider you AFK if you so much as blink for too long. I'll be reading a document and before I can even scroll down it'll say I'm away
